Secrets of Success or: How I stopped worrying and realized I'm not special.

Sometimes I wonder why I'm not more successful (too short for a pro basketball player, not enough rhythm to be a musician, willing to accept a job that only has me work three hours a week, etc.), but according to Malcolm Gladwell it could just be that I don't have the love.

Malcolm (we're on a first name basis now) does a lot of interesting things (The Tipping Point, Blink, etc.), and on this edition of Radiolab, he talks about his new book Outliers, which is about those of us that are so exceptional that it's puzzling (e.g. Matt LeBlanc). It's a really interesting listen (you can listen to it below), and may make you feel better about where you are in life (or throw you in to the depths of depression).

  1. I love Radiolab! Also, I think I'm okay with not being special. I'm okay with not doing more than I have to.
