So, Dave Foley of Kids in the Hall fame was on WTF With Marc Maron the other week, and that got me thinking about my favorite Kids in the Hall skits. Here's a quote from the first skit I've posted below "I hear menopause is great. It's like taking ecstasy and a rocket-ship ride all rolled into one." I dare you to watch that skit and not laugh. I dare you!

Schaal Right!

Kristen Schaal seems to be everywhere these days, and I am 100% cool with that. Every time she's on The Daily Show, I know that there will be an excellent bit and that I will end up posting it to either Facebook or this blog. Kristen is on The Daily Show, was in Toy Story 3 (my vote for best movie of the year), and is a voice in the great new show Bob's Burgers. Oh, she also has a book call Sexy Book of Sexy Sex (it's funny. Get it for your mom for Mother's Day). Check out these clips of her work, and I think you'll be impressed.

Hey, watch these clips and read this article

I don't know how, or why, but I now receive Spin Magazine. I'm not complaining, it is just weird to randomly receive a subscription to a magazine that you have never purchased. I was flipping through it the other day, and they actually have some good articles; one of which is about Mr. Show with Bob and David. The article (only available in it's full form in the magazine) is an oral history of the show as told by the people involved. This includes, of course, Bob Odenkirk and David Cross, but also Brian Posehn, Patton Oswalt, Jack Black, and a slew of other really funny people. If you like the article, you should check out Splitsider's look back at Mr Show. If you don't know what Mr. Show is, you can watch reruns of it on IFC, or you can check out some clips below (you can also watch if you do know what it is).

"Super" looks super amazing

Super looks like a lot like Kick-Ass, but with actors I like. That's not to say that I didn't like the performances in Kick-Ass, because I really did. Nick Cage played a obsessive comic-book-loving crazy person, which in fact he is. Super on the other hand has Rainn Wilson, Elen Page, and an underrated Steven Weber. Check out the trailer below, and I'm sure that you'll agree.

Hannibal Buress and I agree on the Burritos vs. Jesus debate

Hannubal Buress is a funny, funny man. It's not only me that thinks that; famous people think he's funny too. Chris Rock said "If Steven Wright, Mos Def and Dave Chappelle had a baby, that would be disgusting, but it would sound like Hannibal Buress. The funniest young comic I’ve seen in years." If Chris Rock likes him so much, the least you can do is watch the clips below. Ok, that's a lie, you could not watch the clips, that's technically less than watching them. Sorry for lying.

I'd watch Simon Pegg and Nick Frost recreate Nixon/Frost. The fact that they're trying to recreate Star Wars, just makes this clip from College Humor that much better. I hope that when Lucas decides to cash-in and make a re-boot of Star Wars, and he will, he gets these two to participate in some manner. Who am I kidding, when the re-boot happens it will star Justin Bieber and the cast of Glee.

Now is the Golden Age. Rejoice!

I really like TV a lot. I say TV not television because it’s my friend (see the clip below and you’ll get that reference). I truly feel like we’re living in the Golden Age of TV (man, I really wanted to write television there, but that would be rude to my friend). There are so many good shows on right now, it’s staggering.

Breaking Bad on ABC

Breaking Bad is a great show. It's a thoroughly enjoyable program about meth. I'd heard it was great, after all Bryan Cranston has won three Best Actor in a Drama Emmys in a row for the show, but I never got around to watching it because the issue seemed so dark. I'm guessing that I would've gotten into it sooner if it weren't on a channel that I associated with re-runs of Marx Brothers movies. Thankfully, someone has put together clips of what Breaking Bad would've looked like if it was more relatable to me, and was on a network channel. Enjoy Breaking Bad, ABC style.

Winning. For Men.

Apparently Jimmy Fallon's show is funny. That's what I hear anyway. After seeing Jimmy's Impersonation of Charlie Sheen for a new fragrance called "Winning" I'm going to have to give him a shot and watch his show. Seriously, this is some funny stuff here. Maybe my favorite video of the week.

Also, Jimmy has his own Ben and Jerry's flavor now. t's called "Late Night Snack," and it has fudge covered potato chip clusters! Yep. I want that now.

Best commercial I've seen all day

Who hasn't imagined what it would be like if cats had thumbs? For me, it always involves my cat playing catch with me, or it opening it's own can of cat food (that lazy bastard always makes me open it now). For the makers of Cravendale milk, it's a little more threatening. Check out the commercial below. It's the best minute you'll spend watching videos online all day.

Garfunkle & Oats - Like the Flight of the Conchords, but not...

Maybe you've seen the videos for Present Face, I Would Never (Have Sex With You), or Worst Song Medley, but have you ever wondered who these two women are sitting on a couch singing at you are? They're Garfunkle and Oats, and they're a comedy-folk duo, like Flight of the Conchords, except that they're women, from America, and don't have a show on HBO. Yet... It seems that HBO is developing a series for the duo. Seems like it could be good. I'm interested in how they'll try to differentiate the show from FOTC's series. Check out what they can do with some money behind them with a new version of This Party Took a Turn for the Douche.

Even more Angry Birds

If you're sick of seeing Angry Birds videos skip this post. If not, then enjoy yet another video about angry birds. This one features notable animated birds and pigs (e.g. Darkwing Duck, Miss Piggy) calling for the end of the deadly Angry Birds war. It's humorous. Watch it.

This made Donald Glover cry from laughter. Maybe you'll like it

According to Donald Glover's (the guy that plays Troy on Community not the guy from Lethal Weapon) website, iamdonald.com, the video below made him cry from laughing. He's a funny guy, and I'm guessing that he sees a lot of funny stuff in his daily routine of starting in Community, doing stand-up, etc., therefore this must be funny. After watching it, I'll agree that it's funny, but I did not cry.

The Daily Show was good last night. You should watch some clips of it today!

Last night's episode of The Daily Show was really solid. A great first 10 minutes of material on the House's move to de-fund Planned Parenthood, then a bit from John Oliver in Wisconsin, and finally Anderson Cooper. The best part was the first 10 minutes of the show (see below), where Jon succinctly sums up the Republicans' pro-life beliefs:

"You can't prevent an unwanted child, you can't get care if you do get pregnant, and we won't give you any help feeding the kid after it's born, BUT for those two minutes, when that skull is crowning, your baby is the most precious thing on earth"

Also, Senior Women's Issues Correspondent Kristen Schaal does a great bit on making sure that we de-fund everything that ties to abortion, which includes The Coast Guard, the FAA, and of course fire departments.

NBA All-Star Game Post.

The NBA had a game that featured their best players in LA this week. Justin Beber was voted MVP of the Celebrity game. Cool.

Well, that is enough about basketball, on to football. There are now two (2) college football QBs that have released "trick shot" videos on the youtube. I'm guessing this will now be a "thing" and we'll be seeing back-up QBs from more colleges that you've never heard of, or don't care about release videos. I for one welcome the videos. These back-up QBs have spent almost their entire lives trying to reach the college level, and now they're holding a clip-board on the sidelines of games that no one cares about. They need this, so let them have it.

That being said, they're both really fun to watch. Check 'em out.

The weather is so nice, I could go for some froyo right now

According to my Weather.com icon on my browser the temperature is a balmy 73 degrees here in DC (that is the only way that I know what the weather is like outside since I work in a windowless cave of despair). Weather like this makes me excited for spring, and therefore excited for frozen yogurt. Here's a clip that's pretty funny and is about a frozen yogurt shop.

Even more Bill Hader! Come drink some Hader-ade with me

Ok, my man-crush on Bill Hader is reaching new levels. I'm starting to see connections to him everywhere I look on the internet. For example, Splitsider has an article on all the movies that Bill Murray (another Bill, another man-crush, and fellow SNL alumni) was considered for and was not in (seriously, he was considered for Kindergarten Cop and Batman).

Also, I'm reading The Daily What today and I come across a Funny or Die skit where Film reviewers Eric Acosta and Wade Randolph make versions of movies that they are waiting for to come out. The skit features the movie "Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son" (I can also not wait for this movie to come out, since I believe that this is one of the first signs of the coming apocalypse). To tie this back to Hader, it stars Jaleel White, who stared as Urkel, and Hader's Stefon mentioned Furkel's (Black Urkels). Check out the FOD clip and a Bill Hader skit that is amazing.

Sharks are scary.

Sharks are scary. If you don't believe me, just ask a fish. Ok, you can't ask a fish. I realize that was a stupid comment. You know why you can't ask a fish? It's because sharks have eaten them, or are in the process of hunting them and they don't have time to answer your silly questions. Check out this video of some reef sharks darting through a school of fish and the school trying to avoid the shark at all costs.

Mario Kart: France

Last week my wife and I had people over for a game night where we played Wii games all night (I kill at Wii Sports Resort and challenge anyone at table tennis!). One of the more popular games was Mario Kart Wii. This game is designed to be played in a party atmosphere because it's relatively easy to learn and play and you can screw over friends by bumping them off the course and hitting them with turtle shells.

These are all things that we'd like to do to our friends (and of course random strangers) at certain points, but we don't because that would be frowned upon by our friends, and more importantly, the police. One person is unencumbered by these restrictions, however. That person is Remi (could he be any more French?). Watch his Mario Kart inspired videos below.
