I'd like to be buried in the Sisterhood of Womyn

So, Dave Foley of Kids in the Hall fame was on WTF With Marc Maron the other week, and that got me thinking about my favorite Kids in the Hall skits. Here's a quote from the first skit I've posted below "I hear menopause is great. It's like taking ecstasy and a rocket-ship ride all rolled into one." I dare you to watch that skit and not laugh. I dare you!

It's so hard to say goodbye...

Today is Steve Carell's last day shooting The Office. Sad, right? Right. According to Rainn Wilson's twitter, the angels of comedy are weeping (well, he said "wept" but I like to think they're still a little upset about it). Steve had some great moments on The Office (for some reason him stepping on the George Foreman grill pops into my head, which is below), but nothing that he's done has been quite as funny as Ricky Gervais' impromptu dance on the British version of the office.

Winning. For Men.

Apparently Jimmy Fallon's show is funny. That's what I hear anyway. After seeing Jimmy's Impersonation of Charlie Sheen for a new fragrance called "Winning" I'm going to have to give him a shot and watch his show. Seriously, this is some funny stuff here. Maybe my favorite video of the week.

Also, Jimmy has his own Ben and Jerry's flavor now. t's called "Late Night Snack," and it has fudge covered potato chip clusters! Yep. I want that now.

Charlie Sheen's Craziness + Cats = AMAZING!

By now, you've no doubt heard about the nuclear-style meltdown that Charlie Sheen is having. He went off on an epic rant on The Alex Jones Show. Medium Large went ahead and added some of his amazingly awesome quotes to pictures of kittens (and cats). It's great. Check out some of my favorites below.

President Clinton's teats, written by Louis CK

I've been listening to the WTF podcast with Marc Maron a lot this week. I think that I've mentioned the podcast on here previously, (just checked and, yes I have) and it's really worth listening to if you enjoy comedy and comedians. Marc had a two part interview with Louis CK, who is the funniest comedian on earth right now, and they brought up his writing for various shows, including The Dana Carvey Show and Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Two skits that were mentioned were the open skit from The Dana Carvey Show (which, as you're watching it, remember that this aired in prime-time immediatly after Home Improvement), and Bad Fruit Theater: Apocalypse Now. Both are really pretty weird and worth checking out.

Stefon takes on Valentine's Day

I had a great Valentine's Day this year, but my one regret is that I didn't get my wife a human suitcase. I'll let Stefon explain what that one is (about 3:20 into the clip below). Just watch the Stefon clip below. It'll be the best thing you do all day at work. Honestly, it will.

Norm MacDonald is getting his own show, yay!

Norm MacDonald is getting his own show on Comedy Central, and if you're like me, then you're a below average speller. But that's neither here nor there. What's really important is that Norm's going to be back where he belongs, hosting a "fake news" show. Comedy Central is my favorite source for "fake news", with shows like The Daily Show and The Colbert Report (the addition of the Onion's SportsDome is nice as well), so I can't wait for Norm to join up too.

His new show is going to be called Sports Show with Norm MacDonald (I like the creativity on the title). It may sound like it might be too close to SportsDome, but I think that it'll separate itself from SportsDome given that Sports Show will be talking about actual games, where SportsDome is from the Onion and therefore completely made up. To get you primed for Norm's new show, please check out how hilarious this man is when talking about sports (this is the ESPY Awards monologue).

I am showing you my teeth!

Most of my posts are me writing two or more lines of hilarious really funny humorous chuckle-worthy text and then introducing a video (typically it's of cats, but to be fair, that is representative of what's on the internet). This post is completely different. In this post I'm going to write two lines of text and then link to a funnier blog entry on a funnier blog. Sorry for blowing your mind.

Here's the premise for the funnier blog entry (as quoted directly from the funnier blog): "What happens when a gorilla sets up a profile on the dating site OK Cupid (with the username "iamagorilla") and then starts messaging girls? See below."

Here's my obligatory Colbert Report video for the day

One of my main duties at work is to watch the Daily Show and the Colbert Report while checking my email (that is singular for a reason. I typically get one email a day that requires reading.) and drinking my coffee. This leads me to post a lot of Daily Show and Colbert Report clips, btw you're welcome.

While I really, really enjoy the Daily Show, I think that I actually laugh more at the Colbert Report. Colbert has a direct line to my funny bone (that sounds like it was written by an 80 year-old grandmother talking about Bob Hope). So, here's today's obligatory Colbert Report clip (this is the clip where he rips on Palin. It's really good). Enjoy.

Hey Anderson, Here's a Headline!

This week's Digital Short on SNL was awesome. Did it include gratuitous amounts of Pee Wee Herman? Yep. Special guest appearances? Yep (including a foul mouthed Chairy). Even though the rest of the show was very mediocre, the record executive meeting featuring C-Lo was really bad, this made it worth watching (or at least worth checking out Hulu for the good stuff). Check it out.

This is a Dave I'd like to know. Ya know?

Splitsider did a look back at The Kids in the Hall today (which is very much worth a read and is better than this post, so I won't be upset if you click over and read that instead). In their look back, they posted one of my all time favorite skits "A Good Attitude Towards Menstruation" (watch the skit below).

It's not only a great skit, but it's perhaps the best menstruation video ever made. I dare you to find a better one, mainly because I'm scared to do a search for fear that 1) I'll be approached by the IT department about my internet browsing, 2) who knows what scary videos the internet has on this topic, and 3) you only really need one video on the topic.

John Oliver is a funny, funny man

As a Christmas present, my wonderful wife bought me tickets to see John Oliver do stand-up comedy (stand-up is much better than lay-down comedy, as it's a lot less awkward and you can see the performer much better when they're standing up). I've been a fan of John's (we're on a first name basis now) work on The Daily Show and on his podcast The Bugle, but I hadn't seen his stand-up material before. Let me say that he did not disappoint. Below is a little clip of his stand-up that was not bootlegged during his show (he mentioned a few times that he hates people recording his shows on cell phone cameras).

I love Bill Hader

It's no secret that I think Bill Hader is extremely funny (one might say that I have a man crush on him, and if one did they'd be wrong). He's so funny, that yesterday I watched 10 minutes of VW ads because he was in them (the Touareg commercial is the best one). I've posted his amazingly awesome Stefon clips, his Greg the Alien clip, and now I bring you his creepy, spot-on impression of Dateline's Keith Morrison:

I still like Pacey more

James Van Der Beek is still around and trying to capitalize on his super funny animated GIF "Crying Dawson". To cash in on his internet fame, he's created jamesvandermemes.com. Here's a video of him explaining the site. After watching it, I'm still planing on going to Pacey-Con. Enjoy.

Cedar Rapids never looked so fun

The first trailer for the Ed Helms lead movie Cedar Rapids was just released (or at least I first saw it today. Same thing, right?). It really looks great, and it has a funny cast, including Senator Clay Davis who refernces The Wire! No, if it was just Ed Helms and Clay Davis (Isiah Whitlock, Jr.), I'd maybe see it. But it also has Maeby
from Arrested Development in it (no word if she says "Marry me" in the movie)!

I dare you to watch the trailer and not want to see the movie. I double dog dare you!

HAHAHA

This is the view from the Eiffle Tower after a light dusting of snow. An anonymous prankster created the giant phallus on the lawn in front of the Eiffle Tower. Next up on the giant phallus hit list: The Washington Monument.

Oh Paul Rudd, "How Do You Know" if "I Love You, Man"? I'm "Clueless".

Paul Rudd is hosting this week's SNL (Yay!). It's sure to be a great time for all. It has to be better than last week's Robert De Niro snore-fest (No, snore-fest isn't any good? How about laugh-recession? Humor abortion? I give up; I'm keeping snore-fest.). Anyway, back to Mr. Rudd. Check out his SNL promos and get your hopes up.

Louis CK is funnier than you (and me, and almost everyone)

Louis CK is hilarious. His show Louie was one of the funniest shows of the year. If you haven't watched that yet, get on it (it's on FX's website and Netflix instant streaming, so you have no excuse)!

He's even funny on Jay Leno (I know, I thought that was impossible too). Check out this clip of him being funny on Jay Leno last night:

Do you love Mary-Kate? You will after you see these videos

Mary-Kate is one of my favorite Olsen twins (she's tied for second with Ashley), and it just so happens that she stars in her very own web series called Very Mary-Kate.  It also just happens to be hilarious, and a great way to kill time at work (cause work's stupid. Am I right? Yes I am.).
