Ricky Gervais actually made the Golden Globes worth watching (no, seriously)

I'm not typically a big fan of awards shows (seriously, I don't care who any of these people want/have to thank), but this Sunday's Golden Globes was actually watchable. This was due 99% to Ricky Gervais and his unflinching insults/jokes at the expense of the celebrities in the audience (okay, not all were in the audience, but enough where). Check out his opening monologue below, and you'll get a sense of what I'm talking about. On a side note, the head of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (the people that put on the Golden Globes) called Gervais' jokes totally unacceptable, so that's cool.
