Marshawn Lynch slipped into "beast mode" (His own words, not mine. Also, yes, those are his teeth.) on Saturday and broke off a 67-yard touchdown run that people are calling the best post-season run of all time. This lead to the 7-9 Seahawks beating the 12-4 Saints in the playoffs. I feel sorry for the Saints, but damn, that was an amazing run.
I didn't watch the game live, but I have watched this clip about 5 times, and the Tecmo Bowl version of the run, and the Mario Bros. themed clip. So really, you owe it to yourself to watch it at least one time.
Because if you work with the government all you need to work is three hours. Here's how to spend the other 37 hours.

John Oliver is a funny, funny man
As a Christmas present, my wonderful wife bought me tickets to see John Oliver do stand-up comedy (stand-up is much better than lay-down comedy, as it's a lot less awkward and you can see the performer much better when they're standing up). I've been a fan of John's (we're on a first name basis now) work on The Daily Show and on his podcast The Bugle, but I hadn't seen his stand-up material before. Let me say that he did not disappoint. Below is a little clip of his stand-up that was not bootlegged during his show (he mentioned a few times that he hates people recording his shows on cell phone cameras).

Biggest Greek miss since "My Life in Ruins"
Things haven't been going well for Greece lately, what with all the economic woes and all. But, at least they have sports. Sports make everything better (or, if you're a Vikings fan, so much worse). Here's a nice clip of some Greek footballers (f-it, soccer players) attempting, and missing, some spectacular goals. At least the Greeks have feta cheese, that's really good.
I love Bill Hader
It's no secret that I think Bill Hader is extremely funny (one might say that I have a man crush on him, and if one did they'd be wrong). He's so funny, that yesterday I watched 10 minutes of VW ads because he was in them (the Touareg commercial is the best one). I've posted his amazingly awesome Stefon clips, his Greg the Alien clip, and now I bring you his creepy, spot-on impression of Dateline's Keith Morrison:

A good day for science (aka Jenny McCarthy is still crazy)
Maybe you've heard that vaccines cause autism in children. Super smart people, like Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carry, have gone on, and on, and on about how they do. This is all based on a 1998 paper by Andrew Wakefield in Lancet (which has been retracted). Well, that was all B.S. According to a new report in the medical journal BMJ, the 1998 study was based on doctored information. That's bad for McCarthy and her bunch.
Still this probably won't stop the anti-vaccine people from claiming that vaccines cause autism. It does add more ammo to the pro-vaccination side's war to properly inform the public about what vaccines actually do (hint: they prevent deadly diseases). Here's a fun video of Penn and Teller (the bastions of public health knowledge that they are) talking about the benefits of vaccination (fyi, they use bad words).

Sometimes, being a weather person is the pain in the ass
Being a weather person is a hands on job, which can be very hard, but they just have to suck it up. Sometimes it's a mouthful and it can be a hard job to swallow. Other times it's easier and the words just spit right out.
That was the case for Weather Channel meteorologist Stephanie Abrams. She had a wonderful 30 seconds of weather related sexual innuendo. Check out the clip. It's really wonderful.

Nope, that's isn't Ice.
The image to the left isn't ice, it's beef fat. Yep. I'll let that sink in a little longer. Big blobs of beef fat (which was my nickname for my man-breasts in high school) are floating in a shipping channel in Houston.
15,000 pounds (or 250,000 gallons) of beef fat spilled out of a tank it was being held in. That's right, they have big tanks filled with beef fat in Houston. Houston, 2005's fattest city (it hasn't left the top 10 since), will have to close down parts of the channel for the next four days to clean up the mess. H-Town!

Here's another photo that's also gross:
I'm a Monster
I've mentioned it before, but the new Kanye album is really, really good. I'm also really glad that it features Bon Iver, that way I can keep all my hipster-street-cred points (if you listen to a hip-hop album that's very popular it needs to either be listened to ironically, or feature an indie rock darling). One of my favorite tracks on the album is Monster (which features Bon Iver!). Someone in internet land has gone and done the most logical thing and dubbed the song over Sesame Street. Now I can watch it with my niece!

Supercuts: more than crappy, cheap haircuts
According to the Washington Post (the end-all, be-all of what's hip and now) vial videos are so 2010 (that means they're out). Supercuts reign supreme in 2011. Here's some supercuts for you. The 100 Greatest Movie Insults of All Time and The Other 100 Greatest Movie Insults of All Time. All hail supercuts! Death to cost cutters!
30 Rock seems like a much different show in Japan
I love 30 Rock. It's random, sweet at times, and terribly funny. However, if you watch the intro for 30 Rock that plays in Japan, I'm pretty sure you'd have no f-ing clue what the show is about. I like it!
Seriously, all I do at work is watch cat videos
We've all seen Dramatic Chipmunk before. We've seen James Van Der Beek do his own version of Dramatic Dawson. Now it's time for Dramatic Kitten. The Internet knows what you want, and it delivers.

I still like Pacey more
James Van Der Beek is still around and trying to capitalize on his super funny animated GIF "Crying Dawson". To cash in on his internet fame, he's created jamesvandermemes.com. Here's a video of him explaining the site. After watching it, I'm still planing on going to Pacey-Con. Enjoy.
Everyone says this is the best "internet video of the year" (including your mom)
Take for example 2010's BEST INTERNET VIDEO OF THE YEAR: Words. I've been wasting time at work reading a ton of blogs (where else am I going to steal content from for this website?), and this was consistently on every top blah blah blah list of 2010. After watching it, I agreed. Check it out. You'll agree too.
Cats: The Enemy Within
A good friend of mine was staying over at my deluxe condo in the sky the other night and my cat decided to give him a little present. The present? My friend called them sausage links, but you probably know it better as cat turds.
Unfortunately for my friend, Stephen Colbert didn't air his Enemy Within piece on Cats until last night. Had I seen his special report on the Caboodle Ranch (I want to go to there), I would have locked my cats up in a Gitmo like detention center. If you watch one fear-mongering report on cats today, make it this one. It may save your life (but it probably won't, because cats are pretty harmless).

Movie Review time: Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
Wait, didn't Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith come out 7 years ago (nope, 5 years ago)? Why would anyone be reviewing a movie that came out 5 years ago? Well, because they're (Mr. Plinkett) very thorough in their reviews of movies (the review is about 1.5 hours), and because this is the third Star Wars review that they've done (check out Episodes I and II). Why should you care about watching this review? ROGER FUCKING EBERT! Even he posted it to his blog (I think that now means that we're blog buddies). So carve out 90 minutes from your day and watch the review.
