Yeah, the Packers won, but did you catch last night's Glee?

There was a big football game last night on TV. I watched it with a few friends and we all agreed that it was the least realistic game of football ever to be broadcast. I am of course talking about last night's Glee episode. Glee started with people doing back flips on bikes and cheerleaders with fireworks shooting out of their breasts, so far so good for keeping the Super Bowl crowd. Then they introduced that the football team was experiencing more conflicts about part of the team being in the lame Glee club, again, so far so good.

So what went badly? Everything else. A good premise is nothing if it’s executed horribly. The rationale behind the football players need to perform at halftime was just horrible. You expect to beat a superior team by coming together during the halftime show? Why not have them perform at a pep rally so that they’re sufficiently bonded before the big game even starts. Then you have time to make adjustments, etc. during halftime and not have your players apply zombie makeup and get into dancing position (btw, some of the zombie makeup was really freaky, so good job Glee for that).  Maybe these leaps of logic would work out fine on a normal Tuesday night, but this is immediately following the Super Bowl.

In other news, the Green Bay Packers won. So I guess that means that they will be the reigning Super Bowl Champions for the next two years (there’s going to be a lockout next year, so hope you enjoyed watching football, because you’re not likely going to be seeing any pro football next season).
